Non-Contoversial Food Question
We are just back from visiting my family in SC for four days. Willie stayed with my brother's family, where I know he sometimes got to the cat food when no one was watching. I suspect my brother was probably generous with contraband people food too. Now Willie doesn't want the regular dog food and pumpkin that he eats every day. Do I just wait him out, figuring that he'll eat when he's hungry enough? Change his food? He's nine months old, and I am planning to wean him off puppy food soon.

Wait him out... At 9 months of age he isn't going to stay picky for long.
PS: new pics?

I'm with Mary Jo..Wait him out. I've had Fosters go up to 5 days before they caved and ate for me. I know that sounds really mean but everybody eats the same food at my house. They won't starve themselves, he'll come around :)

Same here! In fact Cassie is on a hunger strike as we speak.

Thanks! I'll wait him out. He was very funny with their cat. The kitty is very mellow, and enjoyed taunting Willie. Willie's response was to spin, dance, and scream. That's my boy! (I'll be better about pics, MJ)

An occasional cat food treat is not as bad for dogs as dog food is for cats. It's the unauthorized people food that makes me nuts when people try to give it to Penny. And I'm with Maryjo - we need Willie pictures!!!!!!!

Would a little low salt chicken broth entice him? Works for fosters sometimes.

It seems like if you're getting ready to switch him off puppy food anyway (and I don't think that 9 months is too early) that this might be the right time.
ETA: I wouldn't switch just because he's being picky, though, but if you can kill 2 birds with one stone, then why not?
