New Foster, Farrin!
Farrin is a sweet girl who was found in the desert, near death. She had a broken pelvis and hip, a softball sized abscess, a 104.9 temperature, infections in both eyes and corneal ulcers. Everyone was shocked she survived.
We did the initial pick up and I couldn't believe she was alive. She went to the vet and was there for two weeks, then Joe drove up and picked her up so that we can foster. She's been spayed and had obviously had pups, but they put her age at about ONE year.
She is on crate rest other than to potty, or she can sit on our laps, since she is super mellow right now. We are now down to only three medications for here eyes. She is definitely a trooper!! And tiny, only 11 pounds. Her little head is like a baseball LOL.
Her temperament is AMAZING. I just can't believe this little girl who has suffered such horrors can be so trusting, loving, sweet, and social. She loves people, and the dogs, and food, and love, and she has dealt with everything that's been thrown at her and come out smiling. Well, with that underbite, it is more of a grin
Here are a couple of pics from FB. She is PRECIOUS and will make someone very, very happy. I know she makes me very, very happy!!
By the way, Farrin means "wanderer" and she sure was that. Someday I hope someone gives her a name that symbolizes her new found comfort!

She is doubly lucky. First, to be found in time to save her life, and second, to have you as a foster mom, Kim. Bless you a million times.

I am so glad she pulled through and is on her way to a whole new life. Her story was one of the saddest I had read.

Whether you believe in miracles or not, this is pretty close to one. Bless her precious heart. She deserves a wonderful life and thank you Kim, for starting her on the journey towards it.

I don't really believe in miracles but this certainly is one. Bless her brave little heart, and thank you for saving her.

Re: New Foster, Farrin!
Farrin continues to improve. Here for just
over two weeks and time mostly spent on crate rest, she is patient,
carefree, and sweet. Also she is now potty trained, leash trained, has
learned to sit, and is a most amazing creature. Been through so much,
and still a bundle of positive, loving energy and trust. Today, she
chewed gently on my finger like a puppy as she drifted off to sleep. If I
didn't know better, I would guess she is still really just a baby.

I've seen her pictures on FB but somehow missed her back story. She is one lucky little girl to have landed with you & Joe!
