Why oh why do people continue to walk their dogs in public areas, or even bring their dogs to fundraising events etc, when they are clearly not well?
Hattie and Margot have both gone down with kennel cough (or a similar respiratory infection). Maggot being young (she'll be one year old on Thursday and is very fit and strong!) has shrugged it off. Hattie has been really poorly and yesterday afternoon I had to rush her to her to the vet with breathing difficulties. Today after a multitude of injections and a massive course of antibiotics etc she seems to be breathing a bit better. But she's an elderly pug and it's SO not fair on her.
Rant over. Sorry.

Poor Hattie! Very glad that she is on the mend, but she never should have gotten sick. Sometimes the stupidity of some people is just overwhelming.Kennel cough (or similar) 253213

Some people are either clueless or heedless or else just plain stupid. I'm sorry your girls came down with this. It's not fun, especially for an older dog. I hope Hattie continues to improve, poor thing.

I've been following you poor lot on FB and I'm so sorry poor Hattie has had such a tough time of it. You are absolutely right on ignorant people bringing sick dogs to public places. Sometimes we just want to wrap our babies in cotton wool to protect them. Glad she's a bit better and hope she's 100% soon!
