Ear cleaner?
Does anyone have a suggestion for ear cleaner? I purchased a tea tree oil specifically for dogs but Bella still has alot of wax. She scratches til she has a couple small bloody scabs even after I rinse them etc. She is utd on medical, so mites aren't an issue. Thanks for any advice!

Re: Ear cleaner?
Could be allergies. I see a lot of ear buildup in dogs that eat diets heavy in grains. Some grains are fine for some dogs, but heavy grains or low quality food can lead to dirty ears.
Speaking from personal experience here myself. Before I knew better, my pugs ate Science Diet . By the time they were 2, they were both overweight, yucky ears, bad coats, etc. I made a change and there is a world of difference. I never have to clean their ears. They get groomed about 4-5 times per year and those ear cleanings are enough to keep them good.

That's an interesting point, I switched her to Fromm surf n turf, and luckily she doesn't seem to have many allergies. I guess I can try looking for a different food. Hmm..

From what I've heard Fromm is a good food. Maybe it's high in yeasty foods like sweet potato, which is a bother for her?
She could have an ear infection too, which would need medication.
Re: Ear cleaner?
She shows no signs of infection. Just the itchiness and the wax, which doesn't even look that bad. I will make her an appointment, to rule all the allergies and infections out. And if it's nothing , at least they'll cut her toenails so she can spray her anal glands on them and not me. lol

Google Blue Power Solution. I use that primarily for ears, but use Witch Hazel rather than alcohol.
Re: Ear cleaner?
Thanks! I will try this also. :)

I use Halo's herbal ear wash on my pugs. Smells good and works great.
