The Robert Abady Dog Food Company announced a voluntary recall of two of its frozen dog food products on June 24, 2013.  The Abady Frozen High Stress/High Performance Dog Food (3 lbs)

and Abady Frozen Growth Formula for Puppies of the Large & Giant Breed (31bs) were pulled after a positive salmonella test by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The affected foods were sold mainly in the Northeastern United States including Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey.

Whenever handling frozen raw foods it is important to wash your hands and the surfaces that the foods touched thoroughly to prevent the possible spread of disease.

You can return the product to the store where it was purchased for a refund. If you decide to discard the food yourself, please be certain to do so in a manner that other animals cannot get access to the food.

Contact the company directly with any questions you may have at  845-473-1900 or 877-99ABADY.
