I am VERY careful with garlic. What little my dogs get is very minimal and is part of their raw diet. My foster had Hemolytic anemia and I just don't risk any garlic with her although she's not raw fed.

I would be really careful with garlic too and she says so herself. She is not a vet so I would consult with my vet before adding any additional suppliments.

I read her main page where she is trying to sell a book and some DVDs. This is just my personal opinion, but there are also google ads all over her pages so it makes me wonder if she is just in it for the $. I don't know what she says about the foods because I am not going to purchase the book, but I would be cautious.

There are so many other types of supplements that are better for dogs and not dangerous. Why even go with garlic?

I always love the disclaimer about "Consult your vet....." Most vets know squat about nutrition.

I agree with everyone else. Glad you ask people who really know about nutrition (I don't mean me - I mean people like Blanche and everyone else! Very Happy ) before buying into any of these things!

Yeah I am actually on the same thinking as all of you Very Happy

I was wondering how many thousands of people also get these newsletters, and will actually take this womans advice without even asking a vet. I never actually signed up for these newsletters, just started getting them one day. I'm almost 100% certain that she's only in it for the $$$. makes my hair stand on end to think how many people get her emails though. Eeeeeek.

I can always trust to get the best 7 honest opinions here ! Drinking excited

I didn't find the newsletter very informative. Garlic is in a lot of dog edibles, especially treats and the debate pro and con has been raging for years. I do think there are benefits to garlic but in moderation and not to give to a dog with a vulnerability to anaemic of any kind. I put only 2 mashed cloves in a batch of breakfast slop which makes about 40 meals. I wouldn't be comfortable giving 1/4 clove per dog per day - too much, in my opinion.
