PLE or Lymphangiectasia or Cushings or IBD
Today was Jasmine's checkup for her UTI and she had a good report, only a couple of migrant bad cells. The vet said the test three weeks ago was pretty bad, gross in fact. I was thrilled that she had gained a whole pound in 3 weeks! She's still only 12.09 lbs. and a long way from her original weight of 15 lbs. when she came to us. She has all the diseases listed above, sigh, but is getting back some of her spunk. She has Tylan on her food twice a day (pinch only), 2.5 mg. Prednisone daily and uses RC food made from rabbit or duck. She also gets a shot of Vit. B 12 every other week & it seems to pep her up. Oh yes, she can also have baked sweet potatoes which she loves. I really like the two vets at this place and the staff is great. They know the name of every animal coming in which is new to me but wonderful public relations. All 6 of them were interested in finding out what her latest weight was and were as pleased as I was when we heard. They are very kind and loving to her, as they should be, and I compare it to my old place where it seemed cold and lifeless. Again, thanks for giving me the nerve to switch altho I still take the Pugs to my old vet.

I'm glad that things are better. She has had a rough go of it and so have you. PLE in itself is a battle and a half.

She's got a great care-giver in you Joanne. Hope she continues to keep things going reasonably well.
