“Forever Ours” is a new term APARN is using to describe dogs who, for one reason
or another, are not adoptable. The Forever Ours pugs will remain in the
care of APARN and stay with his or her foster family.


Guess who is APARN's first FOREVER OURS girl???

That is wonderful. I didn't realize she was unadoptable. I only thought her issue was the eye. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention.

Wendi has the same issues that Angus had: disc and neurological problems. Of course, I didn't know that when I went to pick her up, but I couldn't say no. Turns out, APARN was considering putting her down but when they saw how we were with her, they decided to let us try with her. And look at her now!
Maybe we are just meant to help the special ones?

I missed the neuro stuff. Glad you have her. I feel the same way about getting the old and sick when I foster. It is a tough but wonderful experience. Give Wendi a little kiss from the Sacramento pugs.
