Fia Home Forever Empty Fia Home Forever

Post  Sadie 11/3/2009, 1:01 am

Well, just to bring you up to date, Fia is doing quite nicely, after her first month. I still have some issues I'm working on but she seems to have carved out her niche here. They aren't sleepin' buddies yet but Fia is working on staying out of Sophie's way. She is so fast and races around like wildfire. I have promised her that I will take her out for longer walks when I can, since she needs to run off lots of energy. She sleeps comfortably in the bedroom when I'm at work and then jumps off the walls when I come home. They seem to have a squeaking contest with the toys. Sophie knows she's here somewhere but they go out together, and in the daytime, Fia is off leash and loving it! I still leash her at night. I don't know what's in the yard and I sure don't want to chase her anywhere. I did take some of the suggestions plus a few hints from Cesar Milan about fighting and we are getting closer to solving those times. Thanks for the advice again.
I do believe Fia will fit in like peas & carrots. She sure is a lot of energy for this house!

Sadie, at home, with Sophie, Susy & Fia, making sure Mom is doing all the right stuff for them.
And listening for my Nala, who is still here, keeping an eye on us all. I miss you sweetie. Fia Home Forever 9386

Glad to hear that Fia has settled in and the girls are getting along for the most part.

But, did I read correctly that you let them outside offleash? I do hope it's in a fenced-in yard. I hate to be negative on a happy post, but yikes! It only takes a split second for something to catch her eye and her to run off. We live on 45 acres and I still don't let mine outside offleash out of our fenced-in backyard because they can run faster than I ever could!
