New kitten/crazy pug introductions
I know this has been discussed before, but there are some specific questions I have about introducing my new kitten (who is tiny!) to my Millie. Millie heard him immediately as we came through the door, and she already has issues with boundaries (everyone belongs to her). So I'm wondering about the most tactful way to do this. I don't want to end up with a jealous pug or an angry kitty! I introduced them and Micah (kitty) hissed and spat like crazy even though I didn't let Millie have access. I'm not sure that Millie knows what to think about the new addition. She's aggressive but not in a mean way..It's simply a boundary issue. How can I teach Millie about these boundaries and avoid any dissonance between my critters? It's Micah's first day here so I'm not expecting any instant miracles, but I'd like to do this the "right" way so as not to make some mistake that permanently damages their relationship (or health).

I have introduced many dogs and cats to my house with few problems. I will say the dogs are always much easier with new animals than my cats have been. That would be my primary worry. Cat on cat aggression is common. My bet is with some time and a lot of supervision the kitten and dog will be fine. Your other cat may not be so inclined.
