Large Natura Pet Product Recall

Natura Food brands issued a large recall today for possible Salmonella issues. I know a lot of folks on here feed these brands:

Innova, California Natural, Evo, Karma, Healthwise and Mother Nature Pet Foods

Yet ANOTHER RECALL from Natura Pet (Innova, California Natural, EVO, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma dry food, treats, biscuits, and healthbars) A couple of years ago, when they announced the purchase by the Giant Procter and Gamble, I warned my patients and clients of the changes that were possibly going to happen. I was called crazy by many Natura enthusiasts, and our P&G reps kept giving us lip service about how “nothing will change” and how, if anything, the acquisition was just going to make the Eukanuba and Iams brands better. Two years later, four recalls.
It’s sad to see such a great company with great reputation being flushed down the toilet. To those that called me crazy, I can only offer a rare and loud I TOLD YOU SO!
I have been advising our customers of other choices such as Great Life and Pioneer Naturals (locally made!), Orijen, Horizon, Fromm and Precise (also made in Texas) among other manufacturers that have never had any recalls.
To help switching foods without disturbing the GI too much I highly recommend addina a spoon or two of Fruitables pumpkin or sweet potato.
