I am going to look for tripe after work today for the trap tonight. Where would I find it?? And do I get it raw/frozen/cooked?

I think Erin said they have the canned version - look in the canned meat section, or the ethnic food section.

They also may have it "fresh" in the meat case. It's yellow, with a "ribbon-like" look.

And brace yourself. The smell will knock a buzzard off a dump truck from 5 miles away, but somehow, it is crack to puggies. Here's hoping that it works.

You can get it canned--company makes a brand called Tripett or Tripette--most raw food company make it frozen and yes, it will gag a maggot off a gut wagon.

Also, Ziwi Peak and Merrick Before Grains both have a canned tripe if you can't find it in a grocery store.

It's not easily available here, so I've never used it, but I have read that only "green" tripe (fresh or frozen from fresh) will give all the benefits. Among its other virtues it is supposed to be a fantastic toothbrush! So maybe take that into account when choosing your supplier.

Solid gold also makes it, and you might be able to find it at a specialty pet place. Looks like petco sells it online, not sure about in the store. As said the smell is enough to make you ill.

I've heard that you don't want to get the bleached kind either, which I believe is the kind that they sell in grocery stores. I've tried getting it for my girls but I can't find a place around here that sells it. It's really supposed to be good for them.

I get it shipped frozen from a place for paws, not sure if they ship that far though.

Bravo sells frozen green tripe too.

Saira I give mine the canned by Solid Gold as Sarina posted, or the frozen patties by Urban Carnivore.
Made the mistake of defrosting a pattie in the microwave !
Yes it is like crack for the pugs, mine spin, bark, jump (basically act like our Boston) , we can't put the bowls down fast enough !

I have been gone and then I had company so I am wondering is there something specific that you are getting tripe for?

She is using it to try and lure a pug out of drain that they have been trying to save and it is very afraid of humans!
