Out of the Frying Pan....

I mentioned somewhere that we got three new pugs in over the weekend. (Or maybe Reneé did). 2 girls from Soldotna, and a boy from Wasilla.

Guess who is going to foster the 15-month-old male pup from Wasilla?? Just call me Blanche. Now we'll have a human toddler and a pug puppy in the house. we're going to be wore out. I think he'll get adopted pretty quickly, though.

Hard to tell from these pics, but he is tiny. I'll get comparison pics with my gang later this week. If he ever sits still...


He actually looks a lot like a former foster- Kashi. He could be her brother.


He's got some toning up and strengthening up to do. His rear end is a tad wobbly, but we think he'd been crated a lot. Poor guy!

Maryjo--one of my foster parents has a female named Maude who is the female spitting image of Oscar. She's a total nutter, but very sweet.

As I said, Kashi (another nutter) looks a lot like him. It's going to be interesting!

His rear end seems a tad weak to me. But I only saw him for 10 minutes or so, and he never stopped wiggling. I think he was crated way too much. Hopefully running around with my gang will strengthen him up. Time will tell.

Oh, if Sherman's new home doesn't work out, he'll be coming back to me. That would really make life interesting. *LOL*

Maryjo, here's a video of Maude. She was part of a breeding/hoarding bust a few years ago--guy had 40 or 50 shih tzus and pugs in rabbit cages in his basement.....She's one of my favourite dogs and I passed on all of my Maude's stuff to Laura's Maude.

Wow! She has those same short legs and dark head as Oscar! She's gorgeous, and looks like she's having a blast!

Either Reneé or I will post in the prayer section. Oscar, the pug I was going to foster, had labored breathing and was throwing up. Vickie took him to the emergency vet. His heart was so enlarged he couldn't breathe, and there wasn't anything they could do. He was too far gone.

R.I.P. little boy. We'll all miss you.
