McDonalds Monopoly Game
I wonder if there is a way for rescues to work together nationwide and collect McDonalds Monopoly Game pieces--there seem to be a lot of cash prizes and all money to rescue in any amount is good.

Ellen, is it something you could co-ordinate and put together for the rescues?

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
I really don't know if it would work, but I would do it if two or three other people thought it was worth a fly.

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
I would'nt have a problem sending an email to all our volunteers asking them to save their playing pieces for rescue...I'm sure they would. Good reason to go get some fries & tarter sauce, mmmmm...

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
Well, I am not sure we'll make a dime on it, but if you want pm for a mailing address and we'll see what we see. Wouldn't it be neat if we won something for rescue.

I can save my pieces if someone wants them. We swing though the drive through occasionally.

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
We drink a hell of alot of McDonald's coffee here and throw out the Monopoly pieces. I'd be happy to save 'em and send 'em.
Spiffy idea, Ellen.

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
There are 2 ways to win...by collecting the pieces and by entering them online where you can win other stuff. I'd be happy to take a portion of them for PS or however we decide to do it.

well of course you would, Roxane ... but this seems first a Pug Authority effort, then something has to be won, then fairly divided amongst the rescues represented here - like DFW and PolarPugs and PugaLug and ...
Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
This contest seems to have a tight cut off, so let's do it for the next ten days, if you want to mail them to me, pm for an address--but we need to really go for it. Some of us might want to use the e-mail to enter individually, but if there is a chance to win some bucks for kibble and gas and vet, let' do it.

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
I haven't looked at the rules, but it sounds like if can enter stuff online, could we also email or fax the numbers to Ellen? I'm just thinking about saving mailing time. Would that just end up being a huge massive amount of numbers that would make her head spin? (I think I might've just talked myself into mailing!)

I don't go there very often but good idea! I'm sure I could talk Ava into some chicken nuggets for a good cause!

It takes very little to make my head spin.

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
I think Roxane was offering to help, not to be greedy. Pugsavers ALWAYS works with other rescues, including financially helping with expenses in the past for SNPR and sending donations (cookbooks, etc.) to other rescues to help with their events. Anne, your post seems a bit flip to me. I hope that was not your intention.DappleDoxieStaff wrote:Pugsavers wrote:I'd be happy to take a portion of them for PS or however we decide to do it.

That's NOT how I meant it Anne and I take offense at the way you put it, as if I wanted to personally benefit.

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
Before we take this any further and it turns nasty, let me just say that I am completely in support of any fund raising efforts that our members wish to coordinate but unless I am personally coordinating it or it's been cleared with me first, I do not wish to label something as being PA sponsored/coordinated, etc. I'm not saying this to be a hag (even though I am the forum hag) or minimize any fund raising effort. I just need to be sure that the forum, as a whole, doesn't inadvertently get pulled into something that we have no control over then are expected to accept responsibility for later. Each member is, obviously, welcome to participate in any fund raising event that they personally wish to. We all know the forum itself doesn't have any money!
Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
Ive got several pieces I'd happily send to whoever. Hubby had me keep them for some reason from the other night.

Re: McDonalds Monopoly Game
The flyer says the 30th of November, so realistically if they arrive here by the 27th of November, I can look for winning combinations.
