What a good, smart boy. I'll be sending Mack and Mattie to you via overnight shipping for some training.

YOWZAH!!
1.) I'm impressed with his cleaning skills--unusual in a male of any species.
2.) I'm impressed that he didn't deke out the door when it opened.
3.) He is very handsome!! And a good boy.

I'd gladly pay it. Can you teach them to do laundry and wash dishes too?

He's adorable and smart too! I wish mine would learn to put their toys away. They're typical *kids*. As I'm putting something back in their toy box, they're right behind me and get it back out.

Dishes are easy--just let them climb onto the dishwasher and lick the plates. No problem. Windows are harder. Still working on that one.

Maybe smear cat poop on the window? You know they'd lick that right off.

Just out of curiosity--what's the back story on Beavis? Is he just a good boy or is he one of those dogs that made you rip your hair out, but finally clued in? If everyone already knows about Beavis, forgive me for asking. The name implies a certain level of "work involved".
Re: Beavis puts toys up
How cool!! My pugs are really well trained, too. They are well trained at barking their head off when they want a treat!

Beavis was the reason I became a dog trainer. He was awful, I mean just awful! He was a stray that I ended up with because of Corgi rescue. I was Beavis's third home and he was a wild thing! Literally so spastic and out of control you couldn't even pet him. Everyone hated him because of his horrid behavior and I got him in a dog training class out of self-defense.
I learned that my poor boy was bored to tears and training was just the ticket for him. I learned that Beavis was very smart and very busy. He's still that way, very high-maintenance, very needy! His nickname is Fetus Wayne. There's a story there I'll explain one of these days.
He is the dog of a lifetime. He loves to perform and when we were doing obedience he always dazzled the judges with his personality. I could've gotten an OTCH on him if I'd been a better trainer.
He's getting old now, but he still has to come to work with me every day and he is a minor celebrity in Arlington. I keep threatening to get a t-shirt that says "I'm with the dog".

Beavis's story is so cool-it's nice to see how far some of these guys come with training and structure.
I want my pugs to learn that trick too!

Hi Karen!
Wow - he is such a great boy! I'm impressed!!! Instead of shipping Beavis out for cleanup, maybe I can ship Satan...errr, I mean Ruby out to you for training. Will you ship back a nice dog?

What a great representation of the breed. It is nice for people to see how smart pugs really are. Thanks for sharing him with us, what an awesome little guy! Way to go Bevis.

I'm very impressed. Pugs are so smart! I do love that stripe on his tail, too. Penny's stripe isn't that wide; hers is more delicate, as befits a diva.

Re: Beavis puts toys up
amazing! How did you train him to do that? Toby is very smart and can now follow 2 step directions, like "take your snake to daddy". I'd love to train him to put his damn toys away!

Cute and smart too, WOW! I remember when CP was a pup she went through a phase of one getting one toy out at a time. She would get one toy out, play with it and then take it back to her box bin and get another out. Those days are long gone.
