New Chloe worry Empty New Chloe worry

Post  akc0104 6/29/2009, 2:40 pm

Back awhile ago, Chloe was running around the kitchen when I got home and slid and fell and had a little trouble getting her footing and getting up. I didn't think too much of it, the floors are slick.

Saturday, I was hand feeding her when her back legs just slid out from under her and she lay there for a few seconds. She was moving her front legs like crazy (chicken y'know) and kind of spun in a circle and then she was back up on her feet. No lingering effects.

This morning she and Matilda got into a tussle. Boy do those girls know how to fight. Adam had Matilda and I had Chloe and Chloe got away from me and went straight for Matilda. I grabbed her again and put her behind me. She was panting hard and then went down again. This was on carpet so she didn't slide, landed on her side. Breathing hard and just laying there for 5-10 seconds. She seemed aware. Then she got up and ran off. I checked her sight right away, since Schuyler would lose here sight after a seizure but Chloe could see fine and was cognitively there.

I put all the details so *I* can remember what she was doing when it happened. I just got off the phone with her lymphoma doctor and they suggest seeing her regular vet. We have an appointment for Wednesday already so we'll talk about it then unless it escalates quickly.

Lots of good thoughts!! It sounds more like a lack of oxygen due to excitement, causing her to faint. Hope she's okay! hug dog

We were at the vet this morning and we're just going to watch her for now. She's got 3 more chemo treatments (1 will be this morning) and I'll just track if any more episodes happen.

Chloe has lost more weight, she's 21.8 lbs, down 3-4lbs. But she looks good. Our doctor agreed, saying that she isn't underweight has just lost the excess weight she had.

I am keeping you both in my thoughts. I hope it's nothing and maybe resolves when she stops the chemo.
