Im looking to switch lilo and stitch's food, the food they are eating currently keeps getting more expensive and is up to 40 dollars for a 5 pound bag here. Any suggestions on decent cheaper puppy food?

I don't know what foods are available over there, but I'll post a link to a website (someone here previously posted it) that gives ratings based on the nutritional value of foods. It's been really helpful for me when switching so I can make sure the pugs are getting a high quality kibble.

$40 for a 5 lb bag? And I thought $20 for Orijen was a lot!!!! Sabra has given you a great website. I would suggest that you read labels. Any byproducts or corn/wheat/soy is a no-no. I believe in single-source protein and grain-free. Penny is doing very well on Taste of the Wild. You could also do raw if you are willing. It is a bit more work, though. Several folk here are raw feeding experts, and they can chime in with their advice.

Not exactly a recommendation, but the attached link to Dr. Marty Goldstein's page gives some really terrific general guidelines on how to decide what to feed your pet -- from most preferred to least preferred. He's one of the few veterinarians out there who has made it his business to study the connection between diet and health in our pets. http://www.drmarty.com/feeding.htm
