Oscar has a mass on his lung Empty Oscar has a mass on his lung

Post  LaurelPugs 11/17/2011, 11:57 pm

Hi All,

It seems that instead of a torsion of the lung lobe as the CT scan suggested earlier, Oscar has a mass. He had it removed on Tuesday. Poor darling has a scar about 7 inches long on his left side, and we are trying to manage his pain level at this point. We are expecting to learn whether it was cancer or benign. He has been through so much, please send positive vibes for him.

Oscar is the first pug to join our family, he' s the sweetie that has helped our son through great loss and several challenges in his life. We first learned the magic of the pug breed when we met dear Oscar.

If you have any experience with this serious health issue please share.

Thanks,

Laurel

Good thoughts out to Oscar. I haven't dealt with torsion or masses in the lung, but hopefully others will have advice for you.

I don't have any experience either but I will pray for Oscar's recovery and a good pathology report.

Laurel-
I am sorry that Oscar had that news. I remember when you shared the tragedy with me one PugOWeen, and I know that Oscar has been a bright spot. Thoughts of healing and strength for Oscar and thoughts of comfort for your family.
