Lily is getting spayed today

Lily, our 5-yr-old foster girl, is being spayed today. Please cross your fingers. I worry when they go under.

Well... They got Lily knocked out, on the table, and once she was shaved they found a spay scar. *LOL* That's why she didn't have any nipples. Both Vickie and I thought it was really strange that Lily was titty-less if she wasn't spayed.

She does have a bad ear infection (which the people who turned her into rescue had told me & given me drops for). I'd been putting drops in, so the vet cleaned her ears really good as long as they had her knocked out. I'll get antibiotics and more drops when she comes back to our place tonight. I've got her on the website, and I don't think she'll be in foster care for long.

Good news about the non-operation! How are your other dogs reacting to Lily? I hope her forever home is near enough that you can keep us posted on what's happening with her!

Linda, our gang sees so many dogs come and go (between fosters and boarders), that they take it all in stride. *LOL*

Lily has been playing with Bozlee indoors mostly, and she and Chloe run & run when we're in the backyard. Pugtonas galore around here!!

Lily would probably love a home with another dog to play with, and maybe with a kid or two to throw her soft toys for her to fecth (over and over and over).

Well at least they figured it out in time!!! Say hi to Chloe for me!!! Smooches to everyone!!!

I remember breaking Miss Velma Kelly out of the pound - they wanted to keep her and spay her (!), and we found the spay scar, so she was safe from a second spay. At least they didn't have her under anesthesia. Give Lily a hug from me.

Thank goodness she didn't have to get cut open for them to figure that out!

Sheesh! At least they didn't cut her open before they figured it out. Didn't she need her teeth cleaned or something?

Her teeth are fine, but her ears had such a bad infection that they were all swollen inside, so they did a deep cleaning of her ears while she was knocked out, and now she's on five different meds. *LOL*

She came back last night and was a little sleepy, but happy to get dinner! This morning she is almost back to her old self.

I'm so glad they found the old spay scar before they cut her open. Sometimes it's hard to tell. At least her ears should be feeling better soon. She sounds like a sweet thing.

Sorry to hear that she had to be put under and was already spayed, but I am sure being able to do the deep ear cleaning will help to get rid of the nasty infection more quickly. Glad she is doing well
