Wish us luck on Saturday!

On Saturday, We're having a humongous garage/parking lot sale to benefit Polar Pug Rescue. We've taken in some pugs who've needed expensive surgeries, and we need to raise some dough.

This sale will be similar to the ones you may have seen on that show "Clean House". I'll try to take some pics.

I've been organizing for this for a few weeks- getting the word out, getting donations organized, delivered and/or picked up, brainstorming with Vickie the best way to do this, etc. It's been fun, but tiring. *LOL*

We're using Vickie's doggy daycare parking lot, which is on a well-traveled street. We're also going to have hot dogs, sodas, chips and water available, too. Eat your lunch while you shop!

I can hardly wait! We've never done a garage sale like this, so we'll see what sort of crowd it draws. We want nice weather, but not too nice, or everyone will leave town and go fishing.

Roxane, I was just saying to a co-worker (After spending an hour on the cell phone with an elderly lady who was worried about traveling with her 9-yr-old pug) that I hope she had tons of money and leave it all to Polar Pug Rescue. *LMAO*

I wonder if that is something we can put on the 'donations' page of our website:

"And if you cannot donate now, leave a portion of your estate to us when you go belly-up."

Today was fantastic!! Our benefit garage sale raised almost $2000- $1870 in sales, and almost $130 in donations!!!

Woo hoo!! I'm dead-tired. LOL I've benen working since 6 AM and it is now 9:30 PM.

I'll tell stories about it later!

WTG MJ and Polar Pug Rescue!!! I can't wait to hear all about it. It might be something that other rescues could do. Like an annual fundraiser. If SEPRA has one, I want to be the host like Niecy Nash!

Yes, it was a wonderful success!! I was there too, for almost the entire day...but, I did get a 2 hour break! Whew. I sunburned pretty bad....we weren't expecting so much sun.

It went very well. Vickie, Megan and I arent' the best negotiators...so, people were offering an amount and we were all going sure, that's fine. MJ was much tougher! LOL

I think we'll make this an annual event. People showed up all day long.
