Anyone looked into these gift cards to auction off Empty Anyone looked into these gift cards to auction off

I ran upon this auction site after a friend mentioned it to me. I have my son looking into this one too. It is an interesting business model, however, the gift card auctions seem very reasonable and you can get some nice gift cards for a small portion of the face value. Maybe this could be some good possibilities for auction items or gift baskets to bid on, etc.

It is quibids.com. I would like some others opinions of this site. A friend of mine wants to get her grand daughter an Ipad and it looks to be a lot less expensive if you can win it.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to make this work to our advantage. I know there has to be a way. I've been watching a few auctions just to see what happens. It looks like it needs to be someone who can sit and watch these and bid individually to make it least number of bids and take them. The bid o matic will get up there quick.

Just thought I would throw this little nugget out there. I'm going to work on getting some of these $100 gift cards to Lowes, HOme Depot, etc. to give as closing gifts to clients. They don't have to know I did not pay $100 for them???

I played with it last night. I won a $15 Amazon card for $1.85. I just received the ecard via email this morning.

My son says there is some sort of mathmatical formula to it, but that is not where I excell. I think it is more of a crap shoot. You see where others have finished and watch how many bidders continue to bid.

I think it is easier to get the smaller cards rather than the bigger ones.

If you can control yourself you can make some cash off this. I just started an account to try it out and won 15 bids for 1.01 and then won a $10 amazon card for 1.22.

It took 1 bid on both so if you add the .60 for the bid I still made out well. Seems like the best thing to do would be to camp the bid voucher auctions until you have a ton, then bid on other stuff. Also watch how people are bidding, if someone is using a bid o matic I don't even try to bid, if they are just single people doing it just watch who is bidding, if it's just 2 people wait for one to stop bidding and then jump in. I am having fun with it either way.
