A lot of people suck large, and some don't

I swear, there is a special hell for people who abuse animals! A friend of ours from the apartment complex was in the Winco parking lot and saw a car drive up, throw a small black and white dog out, and take off. Of course, she grabbed the dog, left word at Winco about it, and headed home where we were at the office. The dog (puppy) is adorable. A little black and white terrier mix (we are thinking maybe Aussie?) female with ribs sticking out and terrified. She has obviously been hit - hand shy, cowering, trembling all over - and has a few sores on her that look like she was in a too-small crate. Animal Control came out, checked her for a microchip (she didn't have one - duh) and took a picture to post on their found section of their website. Between the time that we called them and when they got here, we found a home for little Oreo!!!!! An older woman with an older Shih-Tzu is going to take her!!! We named her Oreo because her head is mostly black with a white stripe down the middle. So some people suck large (e.g., the people who dumped her), and some people don't (e.g., Heidi who picked her up and Dora who is taking her).

I sometimes think the most loving thing (not that they realise it) some arseholes can do for their poor abused pets is to let them go. Which is exactly what happened here. Thank Dog it was in broad daylight with witnesses. (Did anyone get a license number to make a report?) Sounds like Oreo has just made a huge leap from abuse to adoration.

There dam* sure better be a hell for those people, after they spend the rest of/or at least a chunk of their life in Prison!!!

your friend was in the right place at the right time.....lucky for Oreo that he had a guardian angel looking out for him that day.....

I too hope someone got a license of description of the car....these assholes need to be prosecuted for animal abuse

It's good to see it work out for Oreo. There's a hell of a lot more out there that don't have a happy ending. IMHO, more people suck than don't.

I agree! Oreo will now be in doggy heaven at her new home, and will forget her traumatic past.

Sounds like little Oreo has fallen on all 4 paws, bless her.

Oreo hit the pavement in the parking lot and landed right in heaven. And there is a special place in hell for the monster who dumped her that way.

Update: Oreo turned out to be too high energy for the older woman, so a young couple with two cats who live in the next building took her. She is now named Katie and is best friends with Chloe the cat - Leo the other cat never comes out from under the bed. So it all worked out in the end.

I'm so glad everything worked out for Ms. Oreo/Katie.
