Another story of generosity...

I've been cruising thru Etsy.com, and I came across business where the 8-yr-old daughter makes 'shrinky dink' dog tags:

Anyway, I ordered 8 tags, one for each dog here, and the girl's mom and I arranged payment of $14 for 8 tags, plus $2.50 shipping.

Meanwhile, the mom showed the girl Polar Pug Rescue's site (the mom and I had communicated many times and I showed her the site).

The little girl decided to donate her $14 BACK to Polar Pug Rescue! I'll take the money to the pug party tomorrow.

I thanked her profusely, and am now arranging with the mom to get her a Polar Pug T-shirt as a surprise.

The next generation seems to be growing up just fine.

So cute. I think I'll order some for the pugs too. What a wonderful little girl!

Cool! They are so cheap, and fun! Every one would be different since she draws them herself.

I ordered some for the pugs and this is the message she sent me:

It is my goal in life to end puppy mills! I love dogs and they deserve better. I sat down with my mom and we tried to figure out how I could help. I've been selling these tags on Etsy for a while and I thought I could donate the money I make from the sales to the ASPCA or an animal shelter of your choice. If you do not specify one, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the ASPCA. If people adopt from shelters, puppy mills will have to go out of business!

She's such a little angel. I'll have to send her a little something for her generosity. Do any of the pug rescues sell t-shirts? I'd love to buy one to send her.

PS might be better! We have shirts but we are out of all the smaller sizes after PAP, so we only have sizes XL and up, not sure what size she'd wear or I'd send her one!
