Poor old fella
Got an urgent email about this guy. He's in a shelter in a small town in southwestern Ontario. One eyed, other eye is cloudy--shelter thinks cataracts, but who knows and he's been shaved. Found as a stray. Intact, of course, and looks like he's cryptorchid. They think he's about 8. I've told them we'll take him as he'll be euthanized otherwise. Don't know where I'm going to put him, but we'll figure it out.
And I'm sorry, I know some folks shave their pugs, but I don't get it and I never will.

Poor guy! He looks really little, I'm glad you guys are getting him (and hope you find a place for him!)
Re: Poor old fella
Help me understand. The former owners shaved him, but would not get him care for his eye or have him neutered. So sad. Blanche, you are the best!

Ohh....that's terrible. Poor little guy. Hopefully, you can find him a forever home. In the mean time he's in good hands.

A shaved Pug that's now a stray? Shit, if they'd gone to that much trouble, you think they'd want to find him. Glad you can take him.

Re: Poor old fella
Being shaved is truely the least of his problems. Some pugs aren't bothered by being shaved and some are more so. It's not like most of our pugs are outside in the sun or heat for any lenght of time.

Re: Poor old fella
True enough. I just worry about this guy being shaved given that he was a stray. We have a foster home for him. It will take some fancy footwork to transport him there, but Hilary is the Supreme Transport Queen. I really want to get a good look at his other eye!TNPUGMOMOF3 wrote:Being shaved is truely the least of his problems. Some pugs aren't bothered by being shaved and some are more so. He's going to a woman who is a former adopter of ours, a nurse and now is fostering for us. She adopted an elderly deaf pug from us (Seamus) and an elderly diabetic pug (Nikko). He'll be in good hands with Melissa.
