Hilary posted this on our Pugalug forum and I thought I'd post it here.

Re: Blue Buffalo food issues...
They've been doing some major TV advertising of late. And I find it very interesting that Penny's store (Scraps at the Marina) doesn't carry Blue Buffalo. Hmmmmmmmm.

This scares me. I have never fed Blue Buffalo. I continue feeding Honest Kitchen. Occasionally we use Wellness, and I recently picked up Taste of the Wild kibble.
Dog food scares the crap outta me! When will law makers wake up and catch on to this?

This would be why I've switched Lilo & Midnight my two girls to raw. My fosters are on Taste of the Wild.

I've been feeling iffy about BB since they started advertising on television. I know that sounds strange, but I get nervous when that happens, or when they change formulas.
Have been thinking about changing the boys' food for a little while now and this is a good reason to change. Thinking we'll go back to Wellness, but am not sure yet.

Yes, I noticed their ads on tv lately. It makes me wonder as well. Funny, people buy into it so easily! Even my husband saw the ad, and he was like, "Hey look babe...they have life-bits (or some other stupid made up product) in their food. We should get that." I told him he was nuts!
I have been using Wellness for my fosters, and my own pugs occasionally.
Re: Blue Buffalo food issues...
I don't buy the Blue Wilderness Chicken, but I have used the fish-flavour which has never bothered Bozlee.
Just when you think you can trust a dog food. I always considered Blue Dog Foods one of the better brands.

Bummer, they seemed like a decent company and I'd fed it to Co-Pilot a few times in the past, but it's maybe been over a year or more since we've bought any.
Seriously, it makes me so mad that dog food is making dogs sick, SO MAD.

I tried feeding Phoebe this when she was a puppy, she didnt want to have anything to do with itm shes quite the picky pug. I had since switched her to Natures Variety Prairie formula...she seems to love it. However I still buy her the Blue Buffalo cookies and the jerkey treats for hips, theyre called Healthy Hips...do you think its just the food or all items possibly even though I didnt see that it was stated in the article?

I'm so glad we are in the process of switching over to Honest Kitchen...no more BB!
Re: Blue Buffalo food issues...
I switched Bozlee to 'Blue Life Protection Formula Fish & Sweet Potato' about 6 month's ago. I like it. I hope it was not one of the ones causing trouble.
