Allergys and sore lookin butt Empty Allergys and sore lookin butt

My poor Wellington has a sore looking butt. It looks sore and puffy. Vet says its allergys and put benadryl or neosporin cream on. Anal glands were fine. Any thoughts?

Well, that sounds miserable. I've used warm decaffeinated green tea bags on sore or itchy spots on my dogs with good success. Might be worth a try. Poor old man.

I do have a great visual of you holding a teabag on a pug butt, however......

Nothing to add to Blanche's suggestion other than also a good giggle at the visual. I hope you can find him some relief. It sounds painful.

Poor Wellington, though. Sounds very uncomfortable, poor chap. Unfortunately no helpful suggestions here despite living with a totally allergy-prone pug, which can be something of a nightmare particularly in the warmer months. sigh
