Diamond is a major manufacturer of some of this nation’s most popular pet food brands
– including Taste of the Wild, Diamond Naturals, Chicken Soup for the
Pet Lover’s Soul, Kirkland, Natural Balance, Canidae and many others.

That's all we need; Julian is on Taste of the Wild :(

I saw this too. Makes me very sad, as Taste of the Wild is one of my go-to brands for any fosters I have.

I have been watching this, and so far the recall is applying to just Diamond Naturals food processed at their South Carolina plant. At least, that was last I checked.

Will the food ever be safe enough that we don't have to worry about this kind of stuff? I swear, if The Honest Kitchen ever gets a recall, my faith in commercial food will be done.

Fortunately, the recall only relates to Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal & Rice kibble. Marlee eats Taste of the Wild, too, which thankfully appears to be completely unaffected.

That kind of explains why the dogrocery store we use is having a hard time getting Diamond brands. I'm glad we switched to Earthborn.

I feed Diamond Naturals, and no store I shop has been low on anything. The big dogs thrive on the Lamb & Rice that was the subject of the recall.
Diamond is pretty proactive about things ... I don't think they had any reports of illnesses, and salmonella affects people, not dogs, far as I can tell.
Picked up Small Breed and Active Cat tonight and everyone dove in ;-)
