This is such a frightening story! There have been so many similar ones in the past few years, that I only give Freddie one kind of food (and it is made in the US) and no packaged treats. He gets blueberries or fresh cooked chicken as treats for training. 

Thanks for posting the links to the story in case anyone wasn't aware of it. So sad for all the families who have had their pets harmed by this.
