pugs not really getting along
Hi all!! I have a three year old fawn pug lucy and a none month old black pug rocco. Lucy is pretty sedate but rocco is not. He is always nipping at her and stealing her chew toys. They are always nipping and bitting at each other and while i thing he is playing i do not think she is. She growls sometimes and really gets a grip on his cheek but he doesn't cry and he keeps going at her. Help!! thanks

It doesn't sound like anything to get TOO worried about - pretty normal behaviour for a young dog and pretty normal reaction from an older one putting him in his place! I'd just watch them closely and if it DOES escalate, then people will give suggestions. I have a feeling they'll sort things out.

Re: pugs not really getting along
Younger puppies almost always annoy the older dogs so it sounds pretty normal. They need to learn the rules of how to behave, and the older dogs often let them know when it's enough (like the growling). However, it's not fair to let the younger one keep annoying the older one-when I had that happen (my youngest was only about 8 weeks old when we fostered her, and was terrible), we would put her in her x pen with toys to give the others a break. Also, when I wasn't home, I'd keep them separated.
