Tilly Update

She's not any better. She was at the vet's all day. They gave her IV fluids and an IV antibiotic plus a list of other stuff. Her white blood cells are elevated which means an infection. He said that is not surprising and thinks it's in her gut. We are still talking about the peach pit. He hasn't totally ruled it out, but again is very doubtful that is the problem. He mentioned several other things it could be that had names too long to remember. He couldn't get her to eat either. He offered her baby oatmeal with bananas. She still has her IV catheter in her leg in case we need to use it again tomorrow. It's basically a wait and see thing. If she is better in the morning, just have it taken out. If she's worse, they will dig deeper. I just offered her food again and no dice. She won't even look at it. Turns her head away.

Oh no. Poor little Tilly. I hope she is better tomorrow.
Your Vet seems to be on top of it so that is good.

I just went to find the original thread to see what happened. I hope Tilly turns the corner and starts feeling better soon. I'm sure you must be worried sick about her. Hugs to both of you.

I'm not happy to be reading this update. I hope that she is on the mend tomorrow. I'll be thinking of her and of you tonight. Please keep us posted!

I'm so sorry to read this! Poor Tilly and poor you! I sure hope it gets out of her system quickly! It doesn't sound like she will eat anything at present, but what about some boiled/shredded chicken?

I'm so sorry she doesn't seem to be getting better. Tilly and you are in my thoughts and prayers and I'll be anxiously watching for an update.
