Tilly on Saturday
Back from the vet's. The x-ray showed a suspicious area. She is to get an ultrasound Monday morning. He said he palpated her stomach really well and couldn't feel a mass. Then had another vet do the same thing with the same result. It could possibly be a tumor, but no way to know right now. He also said it would make sense with the higher than normal white count. He is not trying to scare us, just saying it's possible. The ultrasound may show nothing and we'll be back to square one. He did take two x-rays to make sure it wasn't a fluke the first time.
He gave me his email address to keep in touch this weekend and ask any questions.
If she hasn't started to eat by Monday, they will probably put in a stomach tube.

Re: Tilly on Saturday
I was hoping to hear some better news. I'm so worried about Tilly. I'm going to have to find a way to check in on Monday, so I can see what you find out.

Darn. But I'm glad you have such an understanding vet whom you can contact over the weekend. Keep us posted.

Poor little Tilly, I hope she feels better. I know how worried you must be. It sounds like you have a good vet.

Oh Sally, I was hoping for good, "she's eating!" kind of news. Continued prayers from Virginia.

((hugs)) for you and Tilly. I have to ask, have you tried the plain chicken baby food? At Blanche's suggestion we tried it with Chloe and it's the only thing she'll try when her tummy is upset from chemo.

I haven't tried chicken baby food, but I have tried chicken with broth. No dice.

Try the baby food. It's worth a try. Chloe will turn her nose up at pureed chicken and rice and will go right for the stinky baby food. Then I mix a little with rice and she starts eating again.

Re: Tilly on Saturday
I bought some of this stuff this afternoon. I thought it couldn't hurt. I put it on my finger and stick it in her mouth.

I know it's not food, but maybe a little helpful.

That's what the vet had me giving Aggy when she wasn't eating.
I'm still praying that it's nothing serious with Tilly. I'll be thinking of the both of you.

I went and bought some chicken baby food. No dice. I put some on her tongue anyway. I think she's starting to hate me.
