Fur loss? Empty Fur loss?

All three of my pugs are losing hair along the back of their hind legs. Is this weird? Not a lot of hair, but definitely some patches of hair loss, on all of them. Kind of along the back leg, above the lower leg joint.

Are they just getting old? The skin is pink, not black, itchy, or scaly looking. Just wondering if this is a normal pattern.

That is weird! You'd wonder about skin conditions if the skin changed colour, but to happen to all of them.... If it gets worse I'd definitely get the vet to do a scrapping, just in case.

Rhoda would have hair in that spot on the back legs during winter, but not once she'd shed her winter coat. She was a pretty naked pug, though -- hairless armpits, etc.

My pugs have thin hair there too. I just assumed it was from sitting on their butts all the time! Very Happy

Fur loss? 547493 Thanks, I needed that.

All three are going to the groomer tomorrow, so I am going to ask her what she thinks. I think it could be a natural pattern, and I am just extra observant this year.
