Dog treats for cats? Empty Dog treats for cats?

When I feel the boys treats after their walks, the cats beg, too, so I give them each a piece of liver treat or whatever. Do you think this will hurt them? So far they seem heathly.

Hippie, my black cat, has also been known to steal a piece of kibble if I leave the container out when I'm feeding the dogs. So bizzare!

Happy Hips Duck or Chicken Breast is an all-pet treat in this house. I get the cats to line up on the bed and keep Thurston on the floor (he's a faster eater, er, inhaler). Everyone gets their treat and are happy campers. Cats are carnivorous, so most any meat is ok for them.

My snarky cat, Angel, wouldn't lower himself to eat anything that might ever possibly be associated with a DOG! But Sonny routinely helps himself to dog treats out of the treat container--usually dropping a selection on the floor for the pugs. I have no grain, mostly meat treats anyway so everyone is happy except me as the dropped treats occasionally instigate food wars.....

I would think a meat treat in a small amount would be fine!

Co-Pilot LOVES cat food, it was like a delicacy for her! She was pretty sad when our kitty passed away, she still sometimes forgets and goes RACING down the stairs in the morning hoping to find some leftover cat food.
