Murphy may have colitis

Murphy got into a backpack of mine a few days ago and may have eaten something he shouldn't have. Ever since he's had diarrhea. I called the vet on Monday and they suggested boiled chicken and rice. Day three on this and he's still no better (thank goodness for my carpet cleaner). I called back today and I have an appointment for tomorrow.

In the meantime my vet called and we chatted about it. He suspect acute colitis. Aside from his loose stools, he's active, and eating normally.

Keep your fingers crossed. I'm so worried about him!

Oh no! Poor little smoosh! If that is what it is, there are some meds that can help. Meanwhile, hugs to Murph-man, and to you!

violet had colitis a while back. she just need some antibiotics and the gastro diet for a week and her symptoms were pretty much gone in a few days. hope the vet can give murphy some meds to make him feel better.

Junior had colitis and once he started eating a tablespoon or so of vanilla yogurt daily for lunch he was much improved. If he missed his yogurt for a couple days it was noticible.....it makes a difference.
