Pug noses - how do you keep them nice and soft?
Aine here. Mummy is having a fit. She says that my noses needs to be nice and soft. No crusties, nor scratchies, nor rough spots. Also my nose and nose roll must be cleaned on a daily basis. I am like are you kidding ME? First I have to get a bathes and toenail clipping monthly - now I need a face and nose roll check? What - is the puggy fur dye next? UGH.
Anyways. Mummy is not happy at all because my noses is getting all icky. Even after she cleans it - she wonders if there are any MIRACLE CREAMS out there that can ensure i have a young nose. She says that right now she cant do anything with the greys. I am fine with that.
Does vasaline work? or should she get bag bam or something like that? I dont know about the latter. The name "bag bam " kinda scares me.
Hugs! Aine.

I use coconut oil on Izzie's paw pads and nose and it keeps them nice and soft. Plus you can guarantee that it's safe for them to ingest :)

I use bag balm and, on occasion, Vitamin E oil. But mostly bag balm.

Moo Cow Booby Cream!
Was created to help moo cows with dry chapped udders.
They've since expanded it's uses to pets, horses, and people too.
Here's their website:

It's safe for people. I use it on my chapped hands in the winter!

Yep, farmers have been using this stuff for years. I used to use it on my hands and feet and when I was nursing Tucker (many years ago) I used it on my own boobs.Saira wrote:Nan and BAGS wrote:Scarry how it is okay for animals but not humans... what is up with that!?

Phoebe has stuff called "snout Soother" I got it from a lady that runs one of the pug meetup groups in my area. I think you can order it online as well, the little container has a Boston on the lid. It seems to help her dry crusty nose.

That sounds like the stuff I got from my secret Santa last year. It does a nice job on their noses and then the excess goes to my cuticles or elbows!PhoebesMommy wrote:Phoebe has stuff called "snout Soother" I got it from a lady that runs one of the pug meetup groups in my area. We use bag balm. Even used it on our tatts after we first got them so they would heal correctly. I never thought about using the coconut oil.

Bag Balm is a staple up here. I work for a wholesale/distributor, and we sell TONS of it to the North Slope (where all the oilfields are). It is supposed to be the best things for badly chapped hands.
Even the Wal-marts up here stock it. *LOL*
