Fort Worth's No Kill Efforts
Some of you may have remembered an article from Best Friends highlighting the efforts of the City of Fort Worth to become a no kill shelter, in a partnership with PetSmart charities.
The project is a year old now, I thought it was interesting (and awesome!) that in my water/garbage bill from the city this month, there is a separate flier and envelope to make donations to support this effort. I will be sending a little bit - anything I can do to encourage our city to continue this is important to me.
Kinda cool, eh?

Always nice to see shelters become no-kill. Unfortunately, they often have no choice but euthanasia... and, then at the same time they are condemned for it and shelters get a bad name. It's a shame.

Well, good for them. Always nice that the City seems to be behind the move as well. So often, you get lip service.
Re: Fort Worth's No Kill Efforts
Excellent! And I hope other residents contribute donations.

One of the things that I really like about living here is that Animal Control and the Humane Society teamed up to create a no-kill community. Hurray for Ft. Worth!
