Some good news and some icky news

Well, we took Otto for his eye check-up and the ulcer looks "great". There is still a tiny little scar, but that will probably always be there. So now, we only have to do eye drops thrice a day forever. Fine with me, he's good with that.

Icky news is that, with all the concentrating on his eye, and all the goopy medicines that has required, his nose wrinkle is infected. Luckily the vet had a jar of Malaseb Pledgets to give me to use, and some antibiotic ointment. So now, I can slack off the eyes and start on the nose. Good thing Otto is so good-natured about all of this.

I had him weighed, too, and he's down to 23 pounds (very good for his size). He had been about 27.5 pounds a year and a half ago, so I'm very happy with the current weight. It's good for his back, too.

And he has to have a dental in a few weeks. I knew it was due, but I wanted to get the eyes all better before fussing with the teeth, in case any have to come out (and there always seem to be some that have to come out).

Good news on Otto! Although you now have to treat the nose-fold infection.

Glad to hear his weight is down, too!

If it is not one thing, it's another. I do find that eye injuries and nose fold infections go hand in hand.

Good to hear Otto's eye is better, and I'll bet you get the wrinkle infection cleared up in no time.

Great news about Otto's eye and weight loss! After you clear up the nose roll and have the dental he'll be right as rain! No more issues for that handsome boy!
