Linda posted the article:

I hope the quietly get those pugs into a rescue, so their names can be changed and they can get a wonderful 'forever home', if they don't already...

Poor little guys, but I think they should come with a recording of the them music from "Jaws". I'm sure they'll be adopted and will do fine, but yes, I would be a little sketchy in their background...

If I was looking for a pair of pugs I wouldn't have any problem taking them. They look awfully sweet.

My friend Matt - the guy who sprung Petunia from the slammer over the summer - just told me his cousin is going to try and adopt these two. She has been in touch with the humane society where they are being held (apparently in a foster home with a bunch of other dogs).

I would hope that the human society has enough sense to try to get the media to stop using the term "maneaters" when referring to these pugs.
Re: "Man Eating" Pugs - Omaha anyone?
Amen. This is one of the stupidest and most sensational references to these two dogs going. they are NOT maneaters, for crying out loud.Amanda wrote:I would hope that the human society has enough sense to try to get the media to stop using the term "maneaters" when referring to these pugs.
I have no doubt that my dogs would feast on me in a heart beat in a similar situation and to imply that some how these dogs have become dangerous is downright irresponsible.

Blanche, your dogs wouldn't get much sustenance... *LOL*

I got an email today with a reference to this story. It's title was "just think, Kimchi's ultimate revenge". Given her past history, I thought that was VERY fitting (and funny).

I hope so.
Sad story all around. I'd certainly have no problem adopting dogs with this background; they were victims as much as was their owner. I hope they have a happy new life and that their story becomes "old news" quickly.

I dont think the Society every used the term I saw it on the news and she said they would NOT adopt to anyone wanting the pugs if they used any comments to what happened they want them together and happy.
It just shows any animal will use it's instincts to survive even having been breed 300o years as a companion survival is the important thing!
