A question.............
Our family has purchased a side of beef from a beef producer. The meat was all wrapped by a butcher in the area. Included when we got the delivery were two packages of "beef liver". No one in our family likes liver.
What do you think of feeding it to the pugs? I would cook the liver just until tender and then grind it up. I would give the ground liver to the pugs a tablespoon at a time on top of their evening kibble.
Good idea or not?
Thanks.

Re: A question.............
I'm sure the pugs would think it's a good idea. Dogs love liver. I would do it!
Re: A question.............
I give my dogs beef liver all the time (it's part of their diet). I give them about a teaspoon of liver on their food once a day. It's good for them and I'm sure your crew, actually, I know, they'd love it. A teaspoon sounds good to give them and you can feed it raw if you want too, it doesn't have to be cooked unless you want too. Hope this helps.

Just small amounts though as it's so rich. I know they LOVE it! Lucky Puglets!

Re: A question.............
Dogs love liver but just make sure you keep the portion size down. I would give less than a tablespoon per pug, personally. It's very rich and can give them the runs if they have too much.
Here's a recipe for liver cake you might like to try, too.

Re: A question.............
Oh I LOVE liver!! I soak it in milk overnight, then cook it lightly and feed small amounts the dogs and cats. It can, as some have said, give them loose stools if they eat too much of it.
Re: A question.............
Just to let everyone know...........the pugs are just loving their new "beef liver" frosting on top of the kibble. Not that they did not all inhale their food before the liver treat!
We are giving it out a teaspoon for each pug on their evening meal.
